7-Week Beginner Wheel-Throwing Courses
$420 + GST / person
Various class times available 7 days/week. | See dates + times listed at the top of this page.
A weekly 2.5 hour wheel throwing class with hands-on instruction in a group setting. You will learn the basics of wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing. At the end of the course you will have up to twelve unique creations to take home. No experience required! All materials (including clay, tools, aprons) are provided; no additional purchases necessary. Glaze and firing fees are also included in the cost of this class. Maximum class size of 9.

7-Week Progressing Potters Wheel-Throwing Course
$420 + GST / person
AUGUST/SEPTEMBER: Fridays 2:00-4:30pm ⋅ Aug 8 - Sept 19
This 7 week course is led by Pat (@pat_jaffray) on Friday afternoons. In this post-beginner wheel class, Pat will meet each student where they’re at, and build from each individual’s current skill level. In each class you can expect to watch a demonstration of a new form or technique, and the remainder of the class will focus on individual coaching, with impromptu demos and explanations as needed. Each week and rotation of this class will have varied demonstrations as dictated by the participants each week. Maximum class size of 8.
What’s Included:
Each participant will receive one bag of M340 clay (included) to start. Additional clay is available for purchase from mud directly, allowing students the freedom to explore the use of different clay bodies. Other materials (ie. basic tools, aprons) are provided. Glaze and firing fees are also included in the cost of this class.
Pre-Requisite: You must have completed a minimum of two multi-week wheel classes with us prior to enrolling in this course.

Friday Night Throw Downs
$180 + GST / couple
Friday Nights from 6:30pm - 8:30pm | See dates listed at the top of this page.
Bring your date, your mother, your brother, whoever you want! A one-time, 2 hour lesson for you and a throw down partner. You will each have your own wheel and tackle the basics of wheel throwing in a group lesson. Pick two of your favourite creations at the end of your lesson, then we will finish and fire them for you. Beginner friendly. Materials are provided.
Optional: Pick a succulent or cactus from our collection, or try out the amazing candle making pop-up curated by Milk Jar for our studio! Anything you make can be made into a Milk Jar candle or be potted with a plant.
$3/ oz of coconut-soy wax $7-20/ plant

**NEW WORKSHOP**
Scaling Up: Building Bigger & Taller Forms
Saturday July 12th from 1:00pm - 4:00pm
$150 + GST / Person
Ready to go big? This intermediate-focused hand building workshop is about pushing your hand-building skills to new heights. Learn techniques from Meg Gould (@meggould.studio) to help you scale up your forms with confidence and stability. We'll cover strategies for building taller, more substantial pieces (12-16" high), including structural support, clay management, and drying considerations.
This is a great next step for potters who want to challenge themselves beyond smaller functional forms. While intermediate experience is recommended, all are welcome!
Glazing Session Included: Glazing larger pieces can be challenging, so this workshop includes a return session with Meg for glazing support. Join us on either Saturday August 2nd from 1-3PM or Tuesday August 19th from 6-8PM to finish your piece with guidance. If you're unable to attend either session, we’re happy to glaze your work for you.
One bag of clay per person included (Tucker’s Speckle). All firing and glaze fees included. All required tools are provided but you are also welcome to bring your own.

MEMBERS-ONLY: How to Create Hand-Building Templates
Saturday August 9th from 1:00pm - 4:00pm
$45 + GST / Person
Unlock the secret to consistent and well-proportioned hand-built ceramics by learning how to design and use your own templates. This beginner-to-intermediate level workshop explores how to turn your ideas into repeatable, functional forms using Tyvek paper to create durable, reusable patterns. With guidance from Meg Gould (@meggould.studio), you'll learn how to measure, sketch, and cut custom templates, and then bring them to life!
Optional: Bring a ruler or sketchbook if you’d like to jot down measurements or future design ideas!
All required tools (including Tyvek paper) are included. Each attendee must bring their own clay. Any pieces created during the workshop will be dried and bisque-fired. You’ll be responsible for glazing your work during your regular studio access time.

Workshop: Berry Bowls
Sunday August 10th from 3:00pm - 5:00pm

Join us for a fun and functional workshop with Katie (@katiero_ceramics) where you'll create your very own ceramic berry bowl using hand-building techniques. These charming colanders are perfect for rinsing and serving fresh summer fruit!
You’ll learn to shape your berry bowl, add drainage holes, then personalize it with texture tools! Once complete, your piece will be glazed in a colour of your choice, making it both food-safe and ready for everyday use. Beginner friendly. All materials, glazing, and firing included.

Workshop: Beer Steins at High Line Brewing

Call up your liquid courage and prepare to get muddy during this kick ass hand-building workshop held at High Line Brewing. Each participant will hand-build and decorate their own unique stein. Each attendee will receive 2 drink tickets to enjoy a local brew during the workshop. This is an 18+ event. No prior experience required. All materials, glazing, and firing included.

Create your own unique and reusable ceramic travel mug, perfect for your favourite beverages on the go! Our instructor Natalie (@natalieclairecole) will walk you through working with clay slabs to form your tumbler, then help you customize it with textures, patterns, and colored underglazes to reflect your personal style. Your mugs will be finished in a glossy clear glaze to bring out the colours and make it food-safe. All materials, glazing, and firing included.

Celebrate Father’s Day with a creative and hands-on experience! This workshop is perfect for kids and their dads, grandpas, uncles, or any meaningful father figure. Each attendee will shape and decorate their own ceramic keepsake to last for years to come. Explore texture tools and coloured underglazes to personalize your frame with fun, vibrant designs. Once fired, each piece will be finished with a clear glaze to enhance the colours and give it a beautiful glossy shine. Our instructor, Natalie (@natalieclairecole), will guide you step-by-step through the process. No experience is necessary, just bring your creativity!
This workshop is suitable for ages 8 and up. If a child is registered in this workshop, we recommend that an adult join them to help along the way and share in the fun.

Hug Your Pot
Booked by request only.
$500 + GST (One Vase Per Pair)
Join the latest celebrity-inspired trend (like Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber) and create a meaningful memory. You will have 2 hours to practice hand building with clay at our studio. One of our skilled artists will throw a large vase while you work. Once the vase is ready, you and your partner will hug around the vase, leaving your unique imprints. 3-4 weeks later you will have your own custom-hugged pot to pick up.
