7-Week Beginner Wheel-Throwing Courses
$420 + GST / person
Various class times available 7 days/week. | See dates + times listed at the top of this page.
A weekly 2.5 hour wheel throwing class with hands-on instruction in a small group setting. You will learn the basics of wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing. At the end of the course you will have up to twelve unique creations to take home. No experience required! All materials (including clay, tools, aprons) are provided; no additional purchases necessary. Glaze and firing fees are also included in the cost of this class. Maximum class size of 9.
*All classes and workshops have an age minimum of 16+ unless otherwise specified.
*Good things take time! Pieces made during the November/December 2025 semester will not be ready before the winter holidays — final pick-up will take place in the new year.

Friday Night Throw Downs
$180 + GST / couple
Friday Nights from 6:30pm - 8:30pm | See dates listed at the top of this page.
Bring your date, your mother, your brother, whoever you want! A one-time, 2 hour lesson for you and a throw down partner. You will each have your own wheel and tackle the basics of wheel throwing in a group lesson. Pick two of your favourite creations at the end of your lesson, then we will finish and fire them for you. Beginner friendly. Materials are provided.
Optional: Pick a succulent or cactus from our collection, or try out the amazing candle making pop-up curated by Milk Jar for our studio! Anything you make can be made into a Milk Jar candle or be potted with a plant.
$3/ oz of coconut-soy wax $7-20/ plant

Workshop: Movember Mugs
Sunday November 9th from 1:00pm - 2:30pm
$85 + GST / Person
Join us for a 1.5-hour hand-building class with Amy to craft your very own Mo’ Mug! Decorate with stamps and attach a moustache of your choosing: from a classic handlebar, to a walrus, a pencil, or even a horseshoe! All materials, glazing, and firing are included.
Finished pieces will be ready in 2–3 weeks; because great mugs, like fine ‘staches, take time.
A portion of each registration supports men’s health initiatives, so you’ll be raising mugs, raising awareness.

Workshop: Luminary Trees
Saturday November 22nd from 2:30pm - 4:30pm
$95 + GST / Person
Bring a cozy glow to your home this winter in a workshop led by Emily Stone! You’ll hand-build a set of three trees from specialty translucent clay, allowing light to shine through and create a soft, warm glow.
Pieces will be fully fired but left unglazed to preserve their natural luminosity. All materials and firings are included, and finished trees will be ready for pick-up approximately 2–3 weeks after class.

Workshop: Holiday Ornaments
Saturday December 6th from 1:30pm - 3:00pm
$80 + GST / Person
Add to your holiday decor by crafting a set of five unique ornaments! Personalize each piece by cutting them into different shapes, layering, adding texture, and painting with underglaze. Due to kiln constraints, ornaments can only be glazed (shiny) on one side, the backside will be left plain. These ornaments will make long-lasting keepsakes for years to come!

Kids Workshop: Snowman Jars
Sunday December 7th from 11:00am - 12:30pm
$75 + GST / Person
No snow required - come make some winter magic! In this hands-on workshop, kids will create their very own lidded snowman jar that never melts. With his hat as the lid, this jar holds approximately 8-10 oz. Once constructed, makers will decorate their snowman with coloured underglaze, giving it a personality as unique as Frosty himself.
This workshop is appropriate for ages 8+. All materials, glazing, and firing are included. Finished jars will be ready for pick-up approximately 2 weeks later.

Workshop: Pinch and Paint
Saturday September 27th from 1:00pm - 3:00pm
$85 + GST / Person
Join us for a 2-hour hand building class led by the talented Natalie (@natalieclairecole)! You'll learn how to shape your very own mug using classic pinching techniques—perfect for beginners. After forming your mug, you can explore texture tools and coloured underglazes to decorate your piece with unique designs. Your mugs will be finished in a clear glaze to bring out the colours and give it a glossy look. All materials, glazing, and firing included.
Pieces will be available for pick up approximately 2-3 weeks later.

Workshop: Haunted Houses
Saturday October 4th from 6:00 - 8:30pm
$90 + GST / Person
Get spooky and creative in this special Halloween-themed hand building class! You'll learn to build your own haunted house from clay, complete with crooked windows, textured rooftops, and festive details like pumpkins and ghosts. While this is a beginner-friendly workshop, it’s one of our more challenging builds! Your haunted house will be fired and ready for display just in time for Halloween. All materials, glazing, and firing included.

Kids Workshop: Monster Mugs
Saturday October 11th from 1:00 - 3:00pm
$75 + GST / Person
Calling all ghouls and goblins! Join us to create a unique, spooky monster mug this Halloween season! With step-by-step guidance from Megan (@motormouthceramics), kids will learn basic slab building and sculpture techniques to shape, decorate, and bring their monstrous creation to life. From creepy eyes to silly grins, each mug will be a unique masterpiece ready in time for Halloween. No previous clay experience required.
*Pieces will be available for pick up approximately 3 weeks later.
*For ages 8+. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
*One mug per registrant - if adults would like to create their own mug, they must register for a spot in addition to their child’s.
