Can’t decide between wheel throwing or hand building? Try both! This weekly 2.5-hour beginner series is designed for anyone curious about clay but not sure where to start. This class introduces the fundamentals of wheel throwing and hand building in a small group setting designed for beginners. No experience required! All materials (including clay, tools, aprons) are provided; no additional purchases necessary. Glaze and firing fees are also included in the cost of this class. Maximum class size of 8.
What to expect each week:
Week 1: Wheel — Throwing
Week 2: Wheel — Throwing
Week 3: Wheel — Trimming
Week 4: Hand Building — Pinch Pots
Week 5: Hand Building — Slab Building
Week 6: Hand Building — Coil Building
Week 7: Glaze Day (all pieces)
